  phineus + twine experimenting with midi input (it's a trilogy, actually)
  
  this album explores a period of phineus & twine's history in or around 2009, when the duo explored the fusion of analog and digital in the most obvious way possible: plugging a guitar into a beatbox
  
  'midifier' is the first experiment: phineus switches thru presets and adjusts parameters to balance the guitar with the midi... but soon a groove emerges
  
  in 'medlex' twine supplies a midi file in magnetic format which is transmitted to the Quasimidi, while phineus tweaks parameters in real time
  
  a section of 'avatart' became the backing track for the video, 'Circles' (to be posted here soon). The track (and 'Circles') ends when the guitar overloads the Quasimidi and it freezes up entirely. note that twine's guitar has somehow become a tenor sax
